March 28th – 30th, 2025

Took this trip with David and Theo. Asked them to take my pictures and, well… let’s just say it’s more miss than hits, regardless, ended up with a few nice shots!
The weather here is WILD! Totally unpredictable! At the base of Arthur’s Seat, it was all sunshine and blue skies, but by the time I got to the top? Hail. Actual hail. The wind was so intense I felt like I was about to be blown off the mountain, basically spent the whole hike battling the elements. Total adrenaline rush the entire time! 🌈
Second day, we headed up to the Scottish Highlands! The weather this time stayed horrendous for the whole day, so ended up not seeing much. But it’s okay I guess, it’s just a part of the travel.
On my third and final day, the weather finally came through, though unfortunately, David and Theo had already left that morning. Everywhere you look is pure postcard material. The architecture is one-of-a-kind, and the city’s layout is truly unique too, even if walking up all those hills was exhausting. My day wrapped up perfectly with a just-in-time arrival at the airport. Next stop: Cologne!

*Airbnb situation: We stayed at a minimalist Airbnb on the outskirts of Edinburgh to keep the cost down, decorated exclusively with three paintings. Landlord Darren assuring us he had indeed rented the place to us, we never received any check-in or check-out instructions. So, I left the key on the table, assuming cleaning would happen as usual. A few days later, Darren sent an angry message about the door not being locked properly. Well, it is what it is. The door stayed unlocked for several days. Is it really my fault? Maybe, just a little.
